New in system & device support: Integration of FANUC CNCs
FANUC's comprehensive range of CNC systems extends from inexpensive controllers with an impressive level of functionality to high-end control systems for complex machine tools.
The widespread use of FANUC CNC guarantees that the new functionality in versiondog will be well-received. Customers with a current versiondog Update & Support Agreement simply need to go through the straightforward process of updating to versiondog 4.5 (if they have not already done so).
The following are supported:
- CNC Series 0i
- CNC Series 30i
- CNC Series 31i
- CNC Series 32i
Backups can be configured for PMC, CNC, F-ROM and SRAM, with graphic detail comparisons. "This is the big step in the right direction that we've been working toward for a long time now," declares Thorsten Sögding, who looks after the partnership with FANUC. "FANUC control systems can be found almost every production facility in one form or another. And although FANUC provides its own version management system, versiondog offers the simplicity and efficiency of a single multi-manufacturer solution."
FANUC support enables users to manage programs created with NCGuide, the well-known and widely-used FANUC CNC software development environment. NCGuide can simulate standard FANUC CNC configurations as well as CNC configurations used on real machine tools. versiondog 4.5 onward includes a new FANUC CNC component type.
This component type is now available to all AUVESY customers at no extra charge provided that they have a valid versiondog Update & Support Agreement (required to update to versiondog 4.5) and a licence that includes all SmartCompares. versiondog 4.5 can be downloaded, as usual, from the download area in my versiondog on the AUVESY website.
