GETTING TO KNOW AUVESY

CHRISTIAN BRAUN: THE EXPERIENCED SUPPORT CONSULTANT IS AS MUCH AT HOME IN FIRST LEVEL SUPPORT AS HE IS IN SECOND LEVEL SUPPORT 

The state-certified technician for automation and mechatronics joined the AUVESY team in 2013. Since then, he has become a much sort after contact point by both customers and colleagues alike due to his extensive knowledge of versiondog, which he has accumulated over the years.
Christian Braun began as a tester in QA before he took over customer services for systems integration. Before he switched to the support team two years ago, he was a member of the department for research, specifically for the development of new device integration.
He enjoys his work as a support consultant, especially when it comes to helping customers find solutions in cases which are especially tricky.

Christian Braun balances the demands of his work with the responsibilities of his family. He enjoys spending time with his wife and their four-year-old daughter on weekend trips in the Palatinate region.

THORSTEN SÖGDING: MANAGING THE SUPPORT, SYSTEMS INTEGRATION, CONSULTING, RESEARCH, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND QM DEPARTMENTS 

Dr. Thorsten Sögding joined AUVESY in 2015. The then 48-year-old chemical engineer played a key role in establishing the Business Development department at AUVESY and was also responsible for setting up technical/business partner management at the company. Now Director of Customer Services, Dr. Thorsten Sögding is head of a 13 strong team and oversees business development, system integration, training, consultation, technical research, automation system configuration, research projects, and the AUVESY Quality Management System.

A devoted family man and father of two, he is also very engaged in his community. He is the Nussdorf town representative, sits on the city council of Landau, and is also involved in local associations such as the Kindergarten association, and the gymnastics association. In his free time, he enjoys jogging, shooting sports, and indulging in the cuisine of the local Palatinate region.

 

JOCHEN LANG: PROJECT MANAGER FOR THE AGILE EVALUATION, PLANNING AND SUPERVISION OF SOFTWARE PROJECTS 

Jochen Lang recently joined the team at AUVESY seven months ago. As Project Manager, he is responsible for the evaluation, planning and supervision of new software projects. Jochen specialises in the interdepartmental coordination of projects and in the optimisation of team processes. By incorporating agile principles in both the planning and execution of projects, he aims to further enhance the experience of versiondog users.

Over the course of his professional career, Jochen Lang has overseen numerous software and hardware projects, has implemented IT solutions for new business processes and has also worked as a software developer.

In addition to being a devoted father and family man, Jochen Lang also volunteers for the DRK (German Red Cross) and the Zivil- und Katatrophenschutz. In his down time, he enjoys playing badminton and the drums, watching football, and DIY projects.

 

 

TOBIAS DAUSCH: MANAGING THE SOFTWARE TEST AND INFORMATION DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENTS 

Tobias Dausch is the Head of Development Services. Together with a team of 15 highly-qualified personnel, he oversees both the Software Test and Information Development departments at AUVESY.
In 2016, the now 37-year-old began his journey as a software tester at AUVESY, where he very quickly took on the role of test coordinator. Since 2018, he has been responsible for Development Services. One of his main tasks is to help coordinate the many multifaceted and interdisciplinary tasks of the department according to agile principles.
Development Services is comprised of both the Software Test and Information Development departments. Both departments work closely with the company's product versiondog. The Software Test department is chiefly tasked with carrying out manual and automatic tests. Whereas the Information Development department is directly involved in the creation and translation of all technical documentation at the company.
Staying dynamic is not only important to Tobias Dausch in a professional sense. In his free time, he is actively engaged in pursuits such as tennis, squash and badminton. He also enjoys long hikes with his dog Betty.

KARIM EL RIKABI: AS HEAD OF THE SALES TEAM, HE FACES A BROAD PALETTE OF INTERESTING CHALLENGES

Since September 2018, Karim has been in charge of our 13 strong sales team and is the driving force behind the enhancement and future development of AUVESY’s global distribution network.
In the past few years, he has worked for well-known companies and has gained extensive experience in international sales. He has held leading positions in a number of companies specialising in drive technology, machine tools, photovoltaic systems and the manufacture of industrial paint automation systems.
As sales director, he is deeply committed to his work and very much enjoys the exciting challenges presented by the rapid growth of AUVESY. Working closely with his team and customers, he always aims to tap into and maximise the full potential of AUVESY’s portfolio. To unwind in his free time, Karim enjoys jogging and going on long hikes, particularly through the mountains of South Tyrol in Italy.

 

THE USA TEAM: MEET THE PEOPLE OF OUR NEW SUBSIDIARY 

In November 2018, AUVESY expanded its operations into the USA with the opening of its new subsidiary in Grand Rapids (Michigan, USA). 

Having been with AUVESY since it was founded, Robert Glaser brings many years of product expertise and market knowledge to his new role. He is supported by Doug Campbell (System Integrator), Jared Schuitema (System Integrator), Joel Purl (Sales Manager), Emma Baranowski (Office Manager) and long-standing AUVESY member Viktor Halblaub (Head of Customer Services).

The team is currently focussed on growing the subsidiary and bringing on board new team members.

THE ADMINISTRATION TEAM: THE MOST VARIED DEPARTMENT AT AUVESY

Currently consisting of a seven head team under the leadership of Piet Wissing, the administration department is responsible for a wide range of duties. In addition to arranging purchases, processing orders and sorting out licence management, other important parts of the administration department include Human Resources and facility management.

Kay Tokner is primarily responsible for our order management and data protection here at AUVESY. Olga Steger is responsible for handling orders as well as travel and fleet management. If you have questions regarding licensing and distribution, Ivonne Zanon is the person in the team to head to. She is also responsible for tasks related to processing orders. Henrik Ladwig is responsible for update and support. And now the team has Dominik Pfundstein supporting them in their work. He brings with him many years of experience in customer service and development. He is also currently working on restructuring licence management here at AUVESY. Our cleaner, Jolanta Grzegorczyk, always ready with a warm smile and adds a sparkle to our day. In our HR department, Sylvia Hohwiller holds the role of supporting all our employees in all aspects. Recruitment, onboarding and the further development of our employees are key parts of her daily tasks.

The administration department, a wide-ranging department that is tightly interlocked with other departments here at AUVESY. All these wide-ranging aspects ensure that our team members always thoroughly enjoy their work.

THE SUPPORT TEAM: CONTACT POINT FOR ALL QUESTIONS ABOUT VERSIONDOG

The AUVESY support team plays a central role as the first point of contact for customers on product and installation issues! With currently five employees, the department, headed by Dr. Thorsten Sögding, Director Customer Services, looks after all customers worldwide.

The team consisting of Thomas, Christian, Florian P., Florian S. and Kevin loves the varied work and the daily challenges of special customer projects. In addition, the young and motivated team enjoyed new project ideas and successfully implemented the new support system, for example, and introduced it at the beginning of August.

THE IT TEAM: ALWAYS TAKING THE LEAD

It is only possible to have things running smoothly if technical support is at the helm. Whether it be development, sales or support. This task falls to our IT department: Markus Schmalenberg and Bernhard Foitzik as well as trainee Niklas Rohr.

Not only are the workstations and server environments, located directly here at AUVESY, of high importance but also are the websites and portals available to our customers and partners. These were designed and are meticulously maintained by our IT staff. The team always approaches challenges head-on and are fully committed to ensuring security and quality standards are always maintained. They are always happy to answer any questions and are excited about technical developments that can help to expand and challenge their IT knowledge and skills.
